According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), its foreign exchange reserves rose by $17 million over the week to $17.099 billion, up from $17.082 billion a week earlier.

The country’s total liquid foreign reserves stood at $22.587 billion as of August 10, up by $81 million.

This includes $17.099 billion held by the SBP and $5.489 billion maintained by commercial banks.

Reserves with commercial banks are up by $65 million compared to a week earlier.

The current level of reserves roughly offers an import cover of roughly 2.6 months.
